An editorial archive of glamour modelling and the men's magazines that made it mainstream: the covers, calendar shoots and countdown issues of roughly 2009 to 2012.

For a few years the newsstand was crowded with men's titles. Weeklies such as Nuts and Zoo competed every Tuesday for the same readers, monthlies like Loaded and FHM fought over cover exclusives, and across Europe titles such as Poland's CKM ran their own versions of the formula. Glamour models moved between them, built followings and turned a single cover into a calendar, a column or a television booking.

This site looks back at that period feature by feature. Each page is a short write-up: who the shoot was with, where it ran and what kind of shoot it was. The original pictures belong to the magazines and photographers who made them, so they are not reproduced here. What remains is the story of the feature and its place in the era.
