Ola Wydrych in CKM Magazine
Ola Wydrych was the subject of a glamour feature in CKM, one of Poland’s best-known men’s monthlies.
Every issue of CKM was built around a handful of fixed ingredients, and the glamour photo story was the one readers turned to first. A feature like Ola Wydrych’s was the product of a full production day: location scouting, wardrobe, hair and make-up, then hours of shooting to produce the few frames that would make the final layout.
A typical CKM glamour feature of the period brought together:
- a single model given several pages rather than a single frame;
- a location or set chosen to give the pictures a theme;
- styling that moved from casual outfits to lingerie or swimwear across the sequence;
- a short introduction, so that the photography did most of the talking.
That mix of production values and restraint is why CKM features held up well when they were shared online. Fans of European glamour compiled them, swapped links and returned to them years later, long after the print run had sold out.
